The Tesseract Archives

The Tesseract Archives is an ongoing project that documents the visual history of specific places. A four-person information station, it includes four handmade stereoscopic viewing devices, through which various images of the past can be seen in three dimensions.

To best serve this function, the Tesseract Archives information station will always appear in the place whose past it documents.

Previous installations have included:

- The Studio Arts Building lobby, documenting public activity over a period of 3 weeks

- The Printmaking Staging Space, documenting art installations over a period of six months (see photos at right)
